What do we do?
TwPT Actions
Tutors with pedagogical training exhibit a profound commitment to each tutoring session and individual learner. They endeavor to optimize the impact of each social interaction, thereby enhancing the academic outcomes of students and assisting them in addressing the challenges associated with their learning contents.
Preparation
We meticulously plan each tutoring session to make it effective, fruitful, and worthwhile. We gather in groups to plan the session and make demos. We prepare materials for learning and also embed awarding system to encourage interaction.
Tutoring
During our tutoring sessions, we employ a variety of digital educational tools (such as Kahoot and Quizizz) alongside different teaching methods. We adopt a team teaching approach where while one person leads the session, the others offer assistance and support.
Reflection
After every tutoring session, we reflect on our teaching performance. We invite specialists, M.A. and Ph.D. students in the field of teaching and education to assess our teaching and provide feedback. We use an assessment rubric from Bryant et al. (2016) as a reference (Click to see this paper).
